From small beginnings…
Camp Aurora, which began as a weekend workshop for a small group of elementary school students 15 years ago, has grown to become a quality, international camp serving over 150 students annually, grades 3 – 12. Campers have come from 14 states within the US, including Alaska, as well as Canada and Asia.
Leadership
Camp Aurora is supported by 25 – 30 energetic staff. Our 2nd Gen are inheriting leadership of Camp and now serve as camp co-coordinators, presenters, group leaders and on the camp’s advisory committee. First Generation is shifting its role to serve primarily as mentors and support personnel. Camp Aurora is grateful to the dedicated parents who have ensured that a quality camp was available every year, no matter what.
Our Commitment
Camp Aurora is committed to providing every Blessed Child that wants to attend camp the opportunity, regardless of family income.
- Each year Camp Aurora provides full or partial scholarship for roughly 10% of its students.
- Camp Aurora graduates have valued their camp experience to the extent that they want to gift camp to their younger brothers and sisters. Graduates and fellow campers, regularly donate to the scholarship fund.
Outcomes
Camp Aurora provides year to year support and education for 150 students.
- Camp Aurora provides a quality camp experience, evidenced by our high return rate of campers.
- Camp Aurora provides a leadership track for the next generation and provides STF and other post high school Next Gen program graduates an opportunity to lead and mentor their younger brothers and sisters.

- Camp Aurora provides leadership training and mentoring to Next Gen who want to learn how to present the Divine Principle, Core Values and provide Principle Life Guidance.
- Camp Aurora enables campers to make the Principle their own through creative experiential learning opportunities
- Many campers testify to how they have been “saved” by Camp Aurora. “Through camp I get the value of my existence and that
I need to influence my friends rather than allowing everyone to
always influence me.”
The overall spiritual health of New England’s BCs testifies to the positive impact that regular education and the opportunity to make lasting friendships, can have on individuals’ spiritual lives.
